Haven dreaded the coming summer though admittedly it probably wouldn't be that bad here. Yes, it would probably get pretty hot, especially if the mercury decided to rise into the late 30 or early 40 but it would also be followed with a very cool change where the woolies will be pulled out, even for the briefest of times. Victoria was known for its mercurial weather after all. She was glad that she lived in the south and not up north. Haven shuddered just thinking of residing in Brisbane let alone Townsville or Cairns.

Luckily the sun was hiding behind the clouds at the moment and it was warm enough that you could just wear a t-shirt or if you were particularly daring or didn't feel the cold a singlet. Haven, however, was wearing a three quarter pencil skirt, knee high boots and blousy top and a tan coloured trench coat. She looked like most women did who worked in the city of Melbourne who worked in the many offices within the CBD. Of course she wasn't just any woman but it suited her to be just that.

Coming across a little café and feeling like a coffee and maybe a piece of cake Haven took a seat and waiting for a waiter to come and take her request. She placed her camera on the table and took her notebook and pen that reviewed the notes she had taken for the piece that she was writing. Haven nose twitched due to the pollen and dust in the air and she then sneezed. The nose twitched reminded her of the TV program that used to be on television when she was younger, Bewitched, and how the witch used her magic by twitching her nose. Haven giggled to herself at how silly muggles could be.

October had hit Melbourne like a truck. As the temperature started to get warmer, it indicated that magpie season was finally about to end - yet, it couldn't be soon enough. For a lowly Squib such as Keira there wasn't much to do in the way of avoiding the flying little devils past hope to all deities they wouldn't spot her and rely on sheer dumb luck to be able to whack one away without too great an injury to herself. She had a show to run, after all, and couldn't look like she had just gotten out of a ditch.

'Ah, those were the days.'

Indeed, as it was with every other day of the week, it was time to work. Usually she would've gotten up so early that it was still dark out just so to catch all the newspapers she had to go through fresh out of the stand, but Shreya had found it to be a particularly fun idea to disrupt Keira's questionable sleeping schedule that night. The end result was it going completely out of whack and she woke up much later that she had intended, having to go far out of her way to be able to find the papers that had fewer print and had already sold out in the local stand.

She came across a local café and decided to grab a tall cup full of it for the road. Her fingers impatiently tapped against the counter as she waited for it to be served, eyes looking around for anything interesting; first they found the TV that was broadcasting some assorted morning talk show she didn't care for. The sight alone caused her to roll her eyes in annoyance. As she did, she then spotted Haven - a familiar face, as she worked in The Mage. Keira dropped in every now and then to deliver her column and annoy Diana, and being well connected as she was, she knew exactly who that person was.

'Well, I guess I'm in fuck it mode with my schedule today already.'

"Surprised you all are sticking to these parts instead of swarming Narrie." She made conversation once her coffee was served, sliding into a seat near the woman without bothering to ask for permission. "Did the editor already give up? I'unno, that whole activist bait just sounds like the stuff that really gets the money rolling." A disgusting tactic, as far as Keira was concerned, but she didn't see it as below what The Mage was capable of pulling. At least she kept in mind to keep a few key words out of her speech, given the Muggle environment.
