Another class, just one more and she could finally relax in peace and quiet. Three classes were a lot more than just one, but Andy was trying to avoid another class full of students with different skill levels, where some couldn’t even do a simple spell while others excelled at more complexed spells. For the intermediate’s class, Andy decided to do some third and eventually some fourth year spells. Andy decided to put the tables in rows, giving people enough space to just come and go as they pleased from their seat, but left a corridor in the middle.

She put papers on the tables and cast Illegibilus, whoever could remove the charm would be able to read the paper, where it contained further instructions for her class. Once students are able to successfully read the instructions, they are supposed to get a partner and use a Colovaria on their partners and then putting them back to normal.

Andy just hopped this class wouldn’t get crowded, she wanted to end her day with a functioning brain. She sat on a chair and waited for her students to appear for her class.

A sixth year electing to attend the Intermediate class was something that made sense in Rachel's head, but from the looks of it, it wasn't something most people she knew could relate to. The redhead had found out that same morning that she'd be flying solo in that class, without either of her Sturt companions showing up to the party - they both had undertaken the Advanced class for some reason. While it wasn't something that bothered her in itself, Rachel couldn't help but feel somewhat deflated at the lack of companionship that day.

She stepped into the class and decided to sit in the back, unlike what she normally did, given that there was no reason to sit in the front anymore. It wasn't a class she particularly cared for either, which contributed for Rachel's general bad mood at the time. She could only hope that it would go by quick so she could go to Quidditch practice afterwards and actually feel a modicum of joy that day.

Amber skipped her way towards the classroom she was supposed to be at that day, though there was a distinct lack of spring in her step - almost as if she was forcing herself to do the little exercise. Truth be told, everything about the class sounded boring. The split in three was boring - she loved rowdy classes, and those with very few students tended to be complete snoozefests for her. Adding to that the fact that Meadow was in a different class and Sam simply wasn't enrolled at all, and it was a recipe for Amber to end the day banging her head against the desk.

She slowed her steps to a normal speed the moment she entered class, giving the teacher a mock salute. "G'morning." She greeted, looking around afterwards. Much to her chagrin, the lack of friendly faces was hitting her full force, and she could only hope it was due to the fact she arrived earlier rather than anything else. She spotted a familiar redhead, but given that they wanted to sucker punch each other at every opportunity, the Spencer elected to sit down as far away as possible from the Sturt.

"What's on the menu today?" She decided to engage the teacher instead, her foot rapidly tapping on the floor as an attempt at self distraction. "Target practice? I hope we get some target practice." She didn't seem to have noticed the paper sitting upon her desk; that, or she was too dense to figure out what to do by herself.

Unlike how two of his colleagues were feeling about the class, Ian was as chipper as ever - the fact he had started to feed better within the past month was very visible in his face with a brighter and smoother complexion, and he seemed to look far more energetic than the norm. The Dhampir was looking forward to see what kind of effect the blood he had been consuming on the regular would have on his magic. He was already a good student by all accounts, but perhaps it would make him breeze past the Intermediate set of skills. Or was he being too arrogant to think that?

"Good day, Professor." He greeted the teacher with a grin as he stepped into the room. His voice seemingly caught someone else's attention, though.

"Ian! Hey, Ian! Over here!" A certain Spencer waved her arms to grab his attention - a successful endeavor, as the boy waved at her prior to walking her way, sitting down at one of the desks by her side.

"Good day to you t--"

"Thank Merlin somebody showed up, I thought I was gonna die in here." Noticing the boy's confusion, she ruffled his hair, which made him lower his head on reflex. "There's nobody here, man! Chances are I'd fall asleep in no time flat."

"I'll try to stop that from happening, then." He reassured the Spencer. He wasn't sure how, exactly, as Amber had a bit too much energy, even for him; but, one thing he could say for sure, was that he would do his best.

Lured once more to the classroom, Travis found himself sitting in the Intermediate level - something that he didn't necessarily fit in, yet  his mind had been keeping a one track thought. He kept to the back of the room, choosing a place that would have the least amount of people surrounding it and the less likely chance someone would even look towards his direction. His hand course through his raven hair to try and keep them occupied before the class would officially take off. He would need to actually use magic while trying to meet a goal of satisfaction, at this point, he wasn't sure  why he hadn't just left in general or gone to a class level that had been far more accurate for him to learn from.

Luckily, he had more than enough energy to burn and would find himself with quite a large reserve if only because of being greatly unsettled. He wasn't sure if he'd get away with not being noticed. There had been hope that his steps and movement had been quick and agile enough that he could escape the notice of the Spencer, as enjoyable as he found her presence he found himself still absorbed in other focuses.

'Just need to last for a couple more classes. .. That's all. I can manage that much.' There had been a silver-lining, that it would improve his already abysmal attendance to the usual choices he made. At the very least , most would probably assume he just arrived to class sick. That meant he could only pull these kind of antics once in a blue moon, hopefully not on a blue moon.

This class seemed to have a decent number of students who actually belonged in the intermediate level, at least the ones that had entered the class room and that she had seem, but when she watched Mr. Franklin once more she was even more confused, he had showed previously to her class, and while she thought he was there for the easy class, now she was starting to wonder if it was because of the house points. It didn’t matter.

“Good morning.” she greeted all of the students but decided to focus on Amber’s question for the moment. “If you want target practice we used Diffindo in my previous class Miss Cross.Andy was planning on doing something like that for the last term, for the intermediate and the advanced class, the beginner’s class was already having some fun with shredding and fixing the mannequins.

“Let’s start this class. On the table you all have a piece of paper that’s enchanted. Can anyone tell me how to dispel the magic?” She asked the classroom. Once again, she moved up and down the corridor, making sure everyone was listening to her. “You can start by dispelling the magic. After you successfully dispel the magic, you can all start by following the instructions.”

Rachel looked out at her desk, spotting the paper Professor Riverpond meant almost instantly. It looked like a standard piece of paper - there was something written down on it, something that looked to be written in the standard alphabet; however, try as she might, she couldn't even read a word, let alone parse the information of the sheet. The charm in use was obvious. The trick was dispelling it without a wand.

She had, however, performed that very spell before: Tallygarunga's classes hadn't been her first rodeo with wandless magic. The conjunction of frequent travelling and having parents belonging to the International Wizarding Police made her an exceptionally knowledgeable witch for her age, and it helped that she retained things easily. It only took her hover her hand across the mind boggling text for the counter-charm to take effect. Soon the instructions inscribed on the paper were clear to the Irish girl and she could proceed.

She didn't bother searching for a partner just yet, waiting for a few more students to do their jobs prior to seeking someone out. If anything, it served as a good excuse for her to laze for a few extra minutes.

Travis had been successful in escaping Amber's perceptive gaze - she had been too distracted in chatting up Ian to even notice the boy attended the class. At that point it was time for the class to start. The fifth year duo glanced down at the papers resting upon their desks. Amber couldn't help squinting her eyes in confusion - it was very much illegible. She couldn't make out a single character.

"What's this, Chinese?" She grabbed the paper with both hands, bringing it close to her face so to inspect the strange writing. The charm cast upon the sheet only served to make her get a mild headache as she could figure out what was written down on paper; she then felt some pressure on her arm to move it down and place the sheet back where it belonged, along with an accompanying chuckle.

"It's charmed for you not to read it." Ian explained, having caught on to what the teacher wanted from them. "Do you remember the counter-spell? We've done it in class before last term." He decided to clue her in. It was a fairly simple thing, though he knew the Spencer to be particularly forgetful.

"Hell if I remember what we did last term..." Amber grumbled, but didn't let that get her down for too long. Studying the paper she inadvertently reached the correct conclusion. "Let's go with one spell fits all, yeah? Finite!" The girl chanted. The general counter-spell worked like a charm, being something she was comfortable with using at that point - even if she, herself, hadn't used it in the class Ian was referencing.

Ian smiled a bit: it was the spell he had intended for Amber to think of, even if she hadn't gotten to it in the way he had initially hoped. Focusing on his task, he completed it with ease as well - much to his surprise, without an incantation. It seemed that the human wizard blood was doing its job. He wasn't sure whether he should feel contented or scared of the fact.

"Oh! Partner, partner!" Amber proclaimed as soon as she read the instructions and swung an arm around the Flinders, waving at the teacher. "We can partner up, yeah?" She didn't see why they wouldn't, but given that the task hadn't been finished all around just yet she figured she might as well make sure. The boy seemed uncomfortable with the sudden grasp around himself, but smiled nonetheless.

Thank whatever magical forces kept him guided away from the Spencer's gaze of keen perception. Not that he expected her to actively try and force him to some nurses office or try to burrow him a way out to escape to a far more private area. It worked more inline with his boiling attraction rather than his actual health, a double-edged blade.

His gaze lowered to the parchment that had been placed in alignment with the seat that he'd chosen. A prodding finger extended out as he poked and rubbed along it, almost as if it were a puppy gauging the danger of a potential object. The words scrambled, illegible, making no concrete sense in any manner of unique writing or a puzzle that shifted words about in random meetings such as an anagram. His face drew closer to the paper glaring at it as if it had been utterly offensive. How dare it even think of -not- making sense in his territory!? Baring his teeth towards it slightly and only for a brief moment before the primal urge had been snatched away from his mind.

Ears twitched slightly while his attention had been drawn towards the Professor once more as she spoke of dispelling the magic that had enchanted the words to be illegible - purposefully so. That just wouldn't do, it had already defied him and it needed to be taught a proper lesson. Tracing his finger along the surface of it, channeling the course of magic through his arm and towards the tip of his finger while willing a counter-spell to the paper - one according to the style of spell that kept the words obsucred.

Gradually, yet surely, the words had started to make far more coherrent sense after reading it. Not that he'd been paying -too- much attention with his gaze every five seconds between reading a line of text to oogle the Professor for a moment and then back towards the paper once more. He hadn't seem to be in any rush either to locate a suitable partner, after all, he'd been trying to keep a low-profile. Whatever that meant anymore in the moment.

The previous class went smoothly, for the most part, and this was following the same path, Andy just hopped that it ended as well as it started, with no problems, no one going to the hospital wing for an injury.

While no one answered her question, they all seemed to be entertained with the piece of paper she had left on the table. Some were a bit chattier than others, as long as they don’t start shouting. However, it didn’t take long for someone to start shout, but for the sake of making the class move Andy just decided to let the kids yell all they wanted, there was no point in telling them to keep quiet if things were going to get worse.

“Alright, now that you have decipher or broken the spell on the paper, follow the instructions with your partner, if you’re afraid of what might happen because you’re not confident in your abilities, you’re welcomed to use the dummies.” Andy spoke as with a wave of her hand the dummies from the previous class lined up in front of the classroom for the students to take a better look at them. She didn’t want anyone to end up at the nurse’s office, even if it could be mildly hilarious.

“Alright, you all can begin.”

Rachel found it quite humorous when people hadn't bothered to answer the teacher, much like herself - they had just gone ahead and performed the spell as needed. Perhaps it was an indicator that the Tallygarunga student body was better than it got credit for; or, perhaps, it just meant that nobody gave much care to what the teacher was saying in the first place and just went along with the motions. The redhead slotted herself firmly within that second group.

It was finally time to perform the color changing spell on someone else. She didn't feel too inclined on using a dummy (and technically, she could've just used herself), and stood up much like every other student; leaning forth on the table with both hands, a pair of blue eyes scanned the premises as the sought out for someone whom lacked a partner themselves.

She really didn't want to go with the dummy.

"Screw the dummy, we can do this." Amber beamed with pride and excitement at the prospect of having the Dhampir as a task partner, whom didn't seem to disagree with it at all. Letting go of the boy, she proceeded to hop over the desk and onto the more open area of the classroom so to give each other some room to work with. Ian walked around the desk and stood a few steps away from the Spencer, mentally preparing himself for the task at hand.

"Me first!" The girl moved her hand to cast the spell before Ian had any amount of time to comply or otherwise. "Colovaria!" The red spell flung out of her hand and towards the fellow teenager, hitting him right in the chest. His shirt changed to a deep pink color, which caused Amber to snort. "Oi, that color looks good on ya!"

Ian didn't seem upset over the little change in fashion. Truth be told, he quite liked it. "My turn." Unlike his partner, he didn't bother muttering out the incantation just like the time before. The re-energized Dhampir managed to put the blood he had consumed to good use, greatly enhancing his own accuracy to aim strictly at the girl's hair (or, at least, the part not hindered by the beanie). Amber surprisingly didn't flinch at seeing the crimson spell being hurled so close to her face, and soon enough her brown mane had acquired a tint of green instead - the exact same shade as that of the House she represented.

"Sweet!" The girl proclaimed once she noticed the change. "Green's always been good on me, ya know? Spencer's in my blood." It was finally time for them to revert to their original colors - something Amber somehow didn't look forward to. Maybe she should dye her hair green for some festivity down the line...?

It had been when the environment started to shift slightly, where people were beginning to 'pair up'. It didn't look as if they'd been pairing to do anything remotely uncouth - which meant it had to pertain to the classes instructions. His head lowered slightly trying to run through his mind what had been spoken previously and the brief yet hazy memory of the possibility of a partner to work with called in his mind. Well, he definitely didn't really want that in any way.

But nothing really said he couldn't partner with the Professor herself, did it? Once that he mentally came to that conclusion he started to make his way towards Professor Riverpond and stood right in front of her. She didn't have a partner, nothing -expressly- excluded her in his mind. Standing before the woman almost expectantly, as if she should've known that he would have pulled such an antic or at the very least understood the intention of him right in front of her.

Certainly not for actual help but it at least had been one of many ways he planned to get his actual 'focuses' point across towards the woman. His arm raised up half way as if already expecting her to say 'yes', he hadn't even entertained the idea that the Professor would or could actually turn him away towards another Student without an actual partner. -If- she didn't turn him away, accepted him as a proper 'Partner' in regards of testing the spell he would begin tracing a finger through the air to conjure up the spell, 'Colovaria', which if successful on the woman would paint her into a nice cool 'steel blue' color of tint.

It was going well, they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. Rachel seemed to be having some trouble choosing a partner to perform the spell, however Amber and Ian had already chosen each other as partner, leaving Rachel probably with Travis or the dummy. The Spencer and the Flinder were already matched together and seemed to be performing the spells quite well, with no accidents.

She enjoyed seeing the shirt turning pink and the hair turning green, but she wasn’t expecting to see Travis getting up and approaching her. She watched the young man a bit confused to why he was approaching her, until she noticed that perhaps he was choosing her to be his partner. She was confused, Rachel was there, unless the young man didn’t want to be paired with the redhead. Andy wasn’t going to complain about it.

Andy laughed lightly internally, not sure what to think of it, but didn’t stop him, she let him completely spell and while she wanted to put up a fight, to show how it could be prevented, she decided it would be a better spell for higher class. The colors soon shifted and there was a nice steel blue color to her. “Very good Mr. Franklin. Miss Ryan, would you like to put me back to normal? Or do you wish to perform the spell on a dummy?”

"Once the spells are performed, the class is over."

It seemed that the vast majority of people had already partnered up and not a single soul bothered asking the former Gryffindor to help them with the task - if anything, Rachel took it as a stark reminder that she should bother starting to minimally socialize. She didn't exactly think she deserved the attention in terms of friendship, but having a few contacts to make academic life easier was in her best interest - her social circle couldn't limit itself to a certain overachiever whom wasn't even present in that class.

Her eyes eventually fell on a lone Bourke, the last person without a partner (from what she could gather); however, the man immediately got under her skin by him opting to ignore her existence and walking up to the Professor instead. Her eye twitched in irritation. Who did he think he was? Her hands balled into fists as she held back an outburst, teeth gritting and eyes squinting as she watched the man cast a spell on the Professor, but she was finally brought out of her reverie as his target spoke.

"Oh? I have a choice?" She spat back the rhetorical question with irritation and sarcasm clear in her tone - it was either undoing that spell for a proper grade, or having to underline how empty her social life was in such a public setting. Obviously, the redhead opted for the former. In a display of brilliance, the girl waved a hand without paying much mind at what, exactly, she was dispelling; nevertheless the color returned to normal abruptly, a signal of success.

With the task out of the way (even if she hadn't performed the color change proper; but that wasn't exactly her fault, was it?), Rachel gathered her belongings and left without much of a word, as the Professor had previously indicated. She needed to go let loose.

"We gotta reverse this, right?" Amber asked her partner, whom nodded to her after a chuckle. "A damn shame, if ya ask me. You rock that shirt like nobody else." She said in good humor while raising a hand, preparing herself for the spell she had to summon - while she wasn't too wary about her chances of actually performing it, she didn't want to hit something else that wasn't the boy's shirt on accident.

"Thanks. Maybe I should get myself one just like it." Ian joked back. "And I agree, green looks good on y--Amber? You there?" The Flinders was taken aback as the girl seemed to space out, looking in a different direction; a thing that immediately sprung to attention was the sudden spike in her heart rate, as well as the rose colored tint along her cheeks that he was fairly certain wasn't caused by any spell, based on the sheer intensity of the temperature he could detect just under the skin. Following her gaze, he saw what looked like an older Bourke standing before the teacher. Not a second after he heard the Spencer awkwardly clear her throat, and he was hit by the spell before he could even turn his head.

"...Yeah. There." She fought the awkwardness by verbally reassuring herself the spell had been correctly cast after the incantation. Ian, however, didn't look so convinced.

"Are you alright?" The boy asked as the girl turned without even bothering to wait for her hair color to revert back to normal.

"Y-Yeah! Totally. Uh, class is done, so, I'm gonna go! Yep." The Seeker left towards the exit uncharacteristically quickly; at least the Flinders had the presence of mind to cast his spell anyway, and it sailed for quite the distance prior to hitting its intended target - before she exited the room, no less.

"...What just happened...?"

Travis certainly wasn't looking towards anyone other than the individual he'd been instinctively drawn to seek out, even then, it hadn't been as if Rachel had been looking his way either from his senses. In his mind, he merely held the gall to stand up and walk towards someone that had been entirely unexpected as a choice to himself. At any rate, he'd succeeded in changing the general color of Andrea into a lavender tint, it seemed like it'd have been a color she'd like. One of the many ways he opted to show personal 'interest' without tackling the woman down in a primal manner.

It, however, didn't last that long with Rachel's inclusion into the activity as a threesome that ended with his spell being reversed in the manner that the class had called for. His eyes narrowed towards the red-haired woman, there'd been a sense of irritation that tensed within her body. Had she been annoyed? Angry? His shoulders shrugged in a rough manner, that hadn't been his problem nor his concern. There couldn't be any true claim of her as part of his 'pack' which only caused his attention to shift back towards the Professor in an almost dismissive way.

That classroom had emptied quickly, giving another glance around he contemplated staying yet tossed it aside. After all, there'd been one more class together and he had far more energy than he knew what to actively do with. In a far quicker haste he made his way out of the classroom, gathering up his gear in passing.
