Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.

Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.

    Houses of Tallygarunga

    Tally Houses
The four houses of Tallygarunga were created to group together students that shared similar traits. It was believed that this system would lead to greater harmony in the halls and promote a healthy sense of competition between the groups.

Below is a general guide to the traits of each house. However, students are far more complex than any four categories will allow, and there are exceptions to every rule.

    House colour: Green, gold
    Mascot: Kingfisher (bird), Banksia
    House Building: Eureka Underground Hallway
    Strengths:Quick-thinkers, bold, social
Weaknesses: Petty, impulsive, struggle to sit still
The most distinguishable of all the houses at Tallygarunga, these students are also the loudest. They have a pure love for life and all it brings, but also have a notorious reputation for being pranksters and class clowns. Most will have a sharp wit, sarcastic tongue, and talk back to student and professor alike.

Danger is not known to the Spencer student, who will attempt almost anything in the name of fun or dare, and at times consideration for others is dropped in the search of a good time. The Spencer student is often called upon where comedic relief is needed, and tend to be the life of the party.

A good friend to those who are within their circle, the Spencer student is not someone to turn your back on - for fear of being charmed to fall in love with a chair or cursed to have your clothes constantly untie themselves and fall away in public.
    House colour: Yellow, white gold
    Mascot: Possum, Acacia (flower)
    House Building: Kookynie Halls
    Strengths: Caring, relaxed, expressive
    Weaknesses: Shy, overthinkers, idealistic
The most easy-going students of Tallygarunga, these range from the quiet academics, to the not so brave scholars. They are largely students with a good school record, they rarely get into trouble. They are good friends to those they have, and aren't always quite what they seem.

The Flinders student is particularly caring and considerate, they go to great lengths to ensure that those around them are happy. It takes a lot to rouse the temper of the Flinders student. They like to see the best in people, and even where there is no good to be found - will strive to find some sort of upside. The Flinders student is very expressive, and like to share how they feel with the world around them, from joy to sadness, anger to excitement.
    House colour: Blue, copper
    Mascot: Platypus, Boronia (flower)
    House Building: Tarnagulla Centre
    Strengths: Determined, scholarly, logical
    Weaknesses: Closed-off, morbid, lack humour
A generally quiet group, Sturt students are more absorbed in their thoughts than other students at Tallygarunga. They are skilled at scheming and have a more methodical and logical approach to things. Whilst they are not known for their pranks and can be a morbid lot, it is not unknown for the odd Sturtian to break the shell, and lighten up a little.

Sturt students are determined, and stand up for what they believe in. Whilst their sense of justice may be skewed, the Sturt student acts upon what they believe is the best course of action and will do anything to see it through. The thoughts and opinions of others do not typically matter to the Sturt student, so long as the appropriate outcome is achieved.
    House colour: Red, silver
    Mascot: Kangaroo, Warratah (flower)
    House Building: Southern Cross Tower
    Strengths: Loyal, hard-working, sporty
    Weaknesses: Trusting, quick tempered
The Bourke student is resilient and loyal. They will stick beside their friends to the point of death. They are trusting, and can often be betrayed by those they love most. More sporty than the rest of the houses, the Bourke student enjoys the outdoors and the thrill of physical activity. Being cooped up indoors is not something the Bourke student typically enjoys, although many are good scholars.

The Bourke student prefers practical work over theory, and doesn't mind getting dirty in the pursuit of new knowledge. When threatened, the Bourke student is easily angered, particularly where friends or family are involved. The Bourke student is typically overprotective of those closest to them, making them a good friend - and a fearsome enemy.
