  1. Hugo'd wander into the classroom, looking lost as per usual. He really wished they'd given him a map or something because his sense of direction was actually shocking. Since he'd never been in this class before, obviously, the German copied the others in removing his backpack and hanging it up. His uniform sleeves had been pushed to his elbows due to the heat, so he was okay there. After retreiving his wand, Hugo would yet again follow the group to the line where he waited until it got to him. He was momentarily surprised when he saw the females who had unfortunately hit a baseball at his forehead, and given him a nasty bruise, in the class as well. He saluted them before speaking in his German-lilted accent, even if he was capable of putting on a British accent. "Hi. Hugo, Flinder. Newbie, never done Elemental magic before. It sounded alright." The boy waited whilst others introduced themselves, then listening to the teacher. He thought it was pretty interesting, as a whole. It amused him that the professor called himself 'sparky' and made a mental note to ask why at a future time. Right now, though, he was content to just hide at the back of the group and watch, like the wallflower he was, rather than getting involved in the discussion.
  2. Hugo felt like he'd been in Tally for about two minutes before he was shoved into a lesson. The systems and curriculum were so different from his old school back in Germany that he felt completely overwhelmed as soon as he step foot into the school. He'd asked so many people on his way to the lecture hall for the right directions, as he'd manage to end up in the completely wrong building multiple times. 'Ancient Runes'. When he'd picked it a few days ago in a rush to get out of the meeting for his timetable and dorms, he thought it might have been a sit off class. As soon as he sat his butt on a chair and the professor started talking, he realised he was mistaken. Not that that was too bad, Hugo was reasonably smart. It just meant that he'd have to work hard to catch up on this class since he'd never touched it before. It came to his turn when he was to walk up to the three blocks on the table, and so he quickly made his way up so he didn't cause someone else to have to wait behind him. Glancing over the objects, all Hugo could notice was that there seemed to be things engraved on them, and that he didn't have a clue what they were. He looked at each of them carefully, as if he was thinking but in reality was internally screaming, before giving the professor a smile and going to sit back down. Hugo raised his hand when the professor asked who thought the first one was the real one out of the trio of blocks, because it was a guess and usually people subconsciously put the one that is correct as the first answer to make people doubt themselves. It's like when some answers to multiple choices for an exam in his old school was 'A', 'A', 'A', as people thought they were incorrect as what were the chances of it being A three times? Hugo wasn't too bothered when he got it wrong, since he barely understood why he was wrong. The what and what language? This was going to be a long class. He waved at the teacher when his name was called, before the German boy took a deep breath and tried to focus on her to gain as much information as possible, taking a mental note to research independently after class.
  3. Hugo'd glance between the girls. Quite opposite approaches, if he did say so himself. He decided to answer the one that had expressed concern, giving her a small smile. "I'll go back to my uh, accomodation, and get some there. Don't worry about it, a knock on the head didn't hurt Isaac Newton so I'm sure I'll be fine. Thank you though." Hugo would put his hand to his side, trying to ignore the throb in his head as he offered the ball back to her with his other. "Belongs to you, I presume." Next, he focused on the farther away female, clearing his throat so he could call over since his previous talking had been on the quiet side. Hugo never was the loudest of kids. "Everything's good, and you're right- my head is still on my shoulders. Please tell me you two are on a baseball team or something, with that hit." He'd joke, though he was serious about the baseball thing.
  4. Once he was satisfied that there was no blood coming from his head, but what surely would be a fat bruise if the slightly swelled lump was anything to go by, Hugo stood up. Originally looking to the left of him, Hugo tried to identify where the heck this ball came from when he remembered the two girls with the bats. Huh. Maybe he should've remembered that. Ah well, a little concussion never hurt anybody. The shout from the redhead making her way over to him caused the skinny dude to twirl around to face her. Her words didn't match her..frustrated? expression. He wasn't sure if she knew this, but it wasn't his fault he got hit in the head with an off-course baseball. "Still breathing, so I'd say so. That was a powerful hit, you have a good arm." He'd compliment, holding the ball out for her. He may now have to introduce himself to the others when the school started up with a bruise on his temple, but he was still polite. There was no possible way that she could have aimed for his moving form, and it just happened that it was his unlucky self that it happened to hit.
  5. Hugo, having taken to wandering around outside to appreciate the Australian weather and the grounds, was in a world of his own. The German had been spending time trying to familiarise himself with the place, and enjoying it whilst he was at it. He'd dressed in a simple green button up, sleeves pulled up to his elbows and jeans that were more ripped than fabric at the front. At least it would keep his legs cooler, but as for tan marks? It was a sacrifice he chose to make. It was hot in winter. The Reed's certainly didn't mind coming from the high amounts of snow and hail to a place like this. Hugo's usually pale skin had become tanned from his breif time in Australia, a trait he'd gotten from his father who was already olive skinned. The lake was quickly becoming Hugo's favourite part of the Narrie area, it reminded him of their holiday home in Spain that one summer however many years ago, where there was a lovely big river running through a campsite. All the kids of the camp used to have races in it or cool off when it got too hot. He briefly looked around him, a content smile on his face at the slight wind that just about kept his hair out of his eyes. Hugo'd fumble around in his pocket before he pulled out some sunglasses, sliding them onto his face as a protection from the sun. Although, that may not have been the right decision, as whilst he heard a loud shout of 'BALL', he certainly didn't see it coming towards him. His thoughts had been cut short at the sudden thump on his head, the shock literally knocking him to the ground. Now on his backside, he'd push the sunglasses onto the top of his head so it was pushing his fringe back too. The teen would pull a hand up to his temple, gently running his fingers over the sore spot that was now there. A glance down told him that it had been a baseball of sorts, and he took it in his hand whilst looking for the direction that it had came from. Ah. It most likely had been the individuals with a bat between them. He'd hold the ball up above his head, not feeling quite like getting up after a knock like that. Clearing his throat, Hugo would yell over to them, his accent seeping through, that weird mixture of British and German. "Bullseye."
  6. Hugo Reed

    Hugo Reed

Lord, Hugo's history is certainly eventful. Originally, the Reed family started out in Paris, France. It was Fiona and Daniel Reed's honeymoon, and naturally, things happened and baby number one happened. Fiona was full British, from the North-East region and she'd met Danny when he came across from Germany as an exchange student. They dated, fell in love, got married, honeymooned and then stayed in England for a few years. Babies 1-4 were born here. Danny's job took them all different places. Spain (Baby #5), New Zealand, America (Baby #6), Canada (#7&8- Twins!) and Hungary, where baby # 9 was born. Their next stop was Germany, to Daniel's home town. They spent another four and a bit years here before they found out they were pregnant again. For some reason, they had gotten incredibly lucky and this time it was triplets. Five kids in under 6 years, wow. The triplets were then born in Germany- Hugo being the eldest triplet, then Otto and Margo. There were gaps between each of the children, with the highest gap being 19 years from the eldest to the triplets. The parents worked hard with their family, Fiona teaching them English and Dan teaching them German. Up until the recent summer, the family still lived in Germany, even if it was a different part of it. Their father had gotten a job in Australia, which just happened to be where their mother's sister and brother in law, and their four kids, lived. This influenced the decision for the group to move over there, possibly for the last time as a lot of the kids were off doing their own things. The only kids they had with them were the triplets- who had just turned fifteen-, Harriet (17) and the twins, Olive and Peter (19), so it made it slightly easier. The main issue was that Hugo, who was a wizard, couldn't stay at his school since it was only a day school. This meant he'd have to relocate like everyone else to Australia, and when they did, the family eventually found Tallygarunga- and so they sent Hugo there.

Secrets

Hugo's gay. He's known for the past year and a bit, but so far only a certain number of his siblings know. Whilst he's pretty sure his family would be fine, they're still Catholic and the subject had never come up before. He's waiting for the right time to be open about it.

He speaks German! Naturally, he speaks it constantly to his father at home, to his paternal grandparents and his German friends that he made when he was little, but he hasn't used that skill in Tally yet. He feels like people would ask him about it.

General Knowledge

Hugo's a drawer. He likes to doodle a lot, and has gotten quite good over the years. That's just to say he has to practice a lot before he can perfect a piece as he's quite the perfectionist. The general population around him could notice that. People may be aware of his accent, sometimes, if they're smart enough to pick up on the small German lilt in his voice. Not that he ever speaks German at the school.

Personality

Hugo's easily looked over. Of course, being a part of a big family, it would take someone really noisy to be heard. That isn't Hugo. He's a sensitive, sweet and delicate boy. A typical wallflower, he is content to just watch his surroundings rather than be apart of them. Sometimes, this can cause events that Hugo really doesn't like to occur- like when a movie he hates is picked for movie night because nobody asked his opinion on it. He has opinions, mostly, but struggles to put them forward. "Shy" is usually how people describe him, as he lets his siblings do the talking at any public scenes and just gives smiles and nods when anything is directed at him. Hugo is sweet and polite when he does communicate, when he feels as if he's not going to be talked over or laughed about. He's gentlemanly and sincere with people, always trying to cheer them up if they need it. Anyone he doesn't like gets the same treatment as strangers; a blank wall. He's mastered the neutral face and the whispering that usually causes people to give up when they can't hear him. For someone who likes to blend into the background, he does have some aspirations, like to get good grades and support himself in the future.

Appearance

Hugo is one of 12 children, being the 3rd youngest as a triplet set. This gave him so much leeway in deciding what style he wanted- after all, he had 9 older inspirations. The triplets are all wildly different, and Hugo's style represents him well. He goes for simple outfits, such as hoodies, jeans and converse. It took him a while to figure out how he liked his hair- long, short, medium etc and has finally settled on short round the sides and long on the top. He even has a side fringe! Which, honestly, can get in his eyes a lot as he can't be bothered to style it most mornings. A handy hair tie is always on his wrist so he can whip it back into a mini bun when he needs to concentrate. Being quite skinny, Hugo's clothes hang off him slightly since he usually buys them in sizes too big. His outfits are mainly darker colours, which doesn't help his already pale skin. Luckily, Hugo hasn't had much of an issue with acne. Hugo has a slightly feminine look about him, which he doesn't mind, with his slim face and dainty hands.

Lord, Hugo's history is certainly eventful.
