Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.

Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.

    • PB is very much negotiable;
    • He is Rachel Ryan's father. Despite his caring for his daughter, their relationship should be borderline non-existent due to having to work all the time, which resulted in accidental child neglect;
    • Is a member of the International Wizarding Police, and was sent out a lot - originally Irish (Rachel is from Dublin), they moved around the UK during the first ten years of Rachel's life; after her third year in Hogwarts they had to move to New York, and two years after that they had to move to Toronto and effectively removed their daughter from the formal magical education system, and had to blend in with the Muggles. They wound up having to go to Australia recently, and enrolled their daughter in Tallygarunga;
    • You can go in depth into their previous missions (of your choice), so long as they match their traveling routes through the years and display reasoning for pulling Rachel from school;
    • Competent Occlumens and powerful wizard in general;
    • Anything not specified is up to you.

    For as ironic as it is, Emmanuel has the tendency to play a fatherly role to fellow younger colleagues, being considered a veteran given his age and the field he chose to partake in. A mix of luck, work ethic and ambition served to fuel his stay in the volatile position - his dream is to save enough money to open a wand wood farming business and settle down in a calm area (he's growing fond of Narragyambie for this prospect), but wants to guarantee that his wife and child are well cared for before opening up the business. His wife shares the same sentiment, although she doesn't work so much in the field anymore. They've both accumulated a considerable amount of wealth over the few decades dedicated to magical law enforcement.

    He has refused promotions due to enjoying the adrenaline rush field situations can give him, even if he's not looking to die anytime soon; he just wants to get his share of the action in before permanently settling down, and he wants to make that share as sizable as possible. However, due to his status as a veteran, he's skeptic when new blood joins the fray and climbs the ladder like no one's business, rather than learn the ropes normally. As such, he's somewhat wary of his newly assigned partner, Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons, whom has attained a bit of a reputation of being the rising star of Narragyambie's Auror department at a young 28 years of age, and is rumored to be well on her way to move up to greener pastures.

    He has a minor distaste for muggleborns and halfbreeds due to the UK having a different way of portraying Pureblooded individuals like himself in society, although he's capable of seeing past it if he likes the individual in question - it's just an initial speed bump. In fact, he'd say some of the greatest friends and partners he's met through the years were the furthest thing from Pureblood folks, indicating that merit stands above any racial and blood purity bias he may have.

    At work he sports a professional, skeptic and gruff persona, wanting to get down to business and finish the job as thoroughly as possible. When off duty, however, it's a different story - he's quite the energetic individual, which definitely contributed to his longevity in the field. He's quite enthusiastic, in sharp contrast to his daughter, and despite not being the most present of fathers, he wants to support the young Rachel in any way he can; if anything, to make up for the neglect he's made her endure.

    • In all likelihood, he is painfully aware of the neglect he and his wife inadvertently put Rachel through. As they settle down, perhaps it's time to actually try and play an appropriate father figure for the fiery redhead.
    • He has to endure his Auror partner's, Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons, incessant teasing and joking. Does he take it in stride, or is he bothered by it? What sort of misadventures do they get themselves into based on their occupation? Is he able to easily resist that devil's Veela charms?
    • Given that he wants to eventually settle down in Narragyambie and have his daughter believe that this was the last move they had to make, perhaps it's about time he looks into actual housing and land in the area, no?
