Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.

Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.

    • PB is negotiable;
    • She is Samantha and Keira Hammond's sister (not oldest, mind you). She is closer to Sam than Keira is, but not as close as their brother would be;
    • A while after Keira got her divorced, she moved in so to help with her work, so she probably has some sort of knowledge of Muggle technology as her sister is a radio/YouTube political talk show host and only requires help with the technical side of things;
    • Through her mother she's related to the Townsend and McCarthy-Parsons families;
    • Pyrokinetic and very gifted when it comes to magic in general;
    • Impeccable Occlumens;
    • Naturally a brunette, she dyes her hair blonde sometimes;
    • Loves kids;
    • Particularly skilled in curse-breaking, artifact handling and flying;
    • Very outspoken pertaining her support for halfbreed rights;
    • Former Quidditch player in Tallygarunga;
    • Tends to look up to others pertaining traits that she perceives she should have, but doesn't, regardless of how bad overall that person happens to be. She uses them as models to emulate herself after, and improve;
    • Anything not listed is up to you.

    Shreya is the second born to a highly chaotic Hammond branch (as is the norm). In between a reckless older sister, a brother with a heart on his sleeve and a too-innocent-for-her-own-good younger sister, Shreya was blessed with (or perhaps cursed?) the fact she's considered the adult one of her branch. She's always had a good head on her shoulders (to a fault) and for most of her life she's served as the voice of reason for Keira's antics, as well as being the one who babysat Landon and Samantha for most of their lives.

    Despite being quite the workaholic, Shreya is at least responsible about it - she has the presence of mind to know when to stop (at least as of recently), and to recognize when others should stop as well. Adding to that, she's a very charismatic leader (Veela charms notwithstanding), seeking to emulate her cousin Evelyn from experience when it comes to handling her peers and being understanding of them and their plights. Even though others tend to look up to her, she sees herself as a soldier rather than sticking to that leadership position, and treats others as her equals. She is also a cheerful person in general, and brushes off most things that seem to offend her or others; however, when she can't get over it, she becomes very outspoken against said offender and gets in their face regardless of consequences (as seen in her past, below).

    Growing up, she's always looked up to Keira - despite the girl being a squib and a hothead, her grades were always impeccable and she seemed to have a knack for verbally brutalize any of those who crossed her, something Shreya couldn't help but admire. Things became worse, however, as she watched Keira's behavior slowly turning against her parents as the rebellion blossomed right under their noses, and she had to watch her curse them out, crash their car, tank her grades on occasion purposefully, among other stupid actions for the sake of negative attention.

    At some point, enough was enough. Shreya gathered all her courage and confronted the verbal shredder head on; somehow, it worked. Her sister cooled off over time (even if she never became the nice girl she had once been in her youth again), although the fruit of that rebellion was still very much alive on occasion. The biggest proof of it, in Shreya's point of view, was when Keira decided to leave the house immediately upon graduating high school and boarding the college she attended; as well as everything that followed. Given that Shreya was boarding Tallygarunga at the time to begin with, the distance didn't affect her so much as the thought of Keira actively trying to distance herself from the family for some god forsaken reason.

    The oldest Hammond sister then proceeded to have Michael, get married and have Jason, all which boggled Shreya's mind. Now entirely convinced that Keira wanted to stay away from the family, she dove fully into her studies. She completely obliterated her SPIDER and STINGRAY exams back to back, to such a thorough extent that the Ministry of Magic came knocking to ask her to participate in Auror training rather than her having to apply for it. She accepted because she wasn't too sure of what she wanted to do in life, and just wanted something difficult to focus on and take her mind off of things. Concurrently, Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons took her under her wing, teaching her (most of) all she knew. Seeing quite a few parallels in their academic careers, Shreya started seeing her cousin as mentor-like figure and confidant.

    Around the time she finished her training and became a full-fledged Auror (with flying colors), Keira had divorced and moved back in to the branch's household. The two inadvertently re-approached, and Shreya found herself learning a thing or two about the intricacies of Keira's job, specifically pertaining video editing. Knowing the woman needed help delivering her show in good condition to her audience, she reluctantly agreed to help out with it; both moved out to an apartment wherein they'd build a small studio in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, despite the change of heart, Keira was as impulsive and reckless as ever, which made for quite a bit of trouble between the two. Ultimately she threw herself at work again.

    She wound up being drafted as Evelyn's Auror partner in the Narragyambie station. Her obsession with work was such that she only stayed there for a year. When that year drew to a close, she got another knock on her door - this time from the IWP, wanting this rising star to join their ranks. She was quick to accept the hellish training that awaited her.

    • She really needs to put Keira in line. She really, really does.

    • She used to be Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons' Auror partner, even if for just a year; added to the fact they're family, she looks up the woman as a mentor. Knowing that the older half-Veela actually rejected her own offer to become an IWP agent, does she go to her often for advice on how to deal with her situation?

    • She might or might not notice that, after introducing her good friend Diana Sharpe to Keira, the former started getting into alcohol out of influence. Maybe both need a good scolding.

    • Proud as she is about her heritage (even if she isn't really allowed to come out about it), she might be very proactive in helping Sibylla Townsend with her Halfbreed aiding network.
