Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.

Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.

    • PB is negotiable, but please pick someone with auburn hair;
    • He's Chloe and Lexi's father and is married to a local dojo owner. His side of the family is up to you, but keep in mind he's a Muggle;
    • Took to the existence of magic fairly well and motivates his daughters to pursue it;
    • He prefers to provide to his daughters with incentive to pursue their interests in such a way that sometimes he becomes involved in them as well (for example, he might occasionally help Chloe assemble a model kit, or since they're both good with their hands, have them help around with the car, or play videogames with Lexi and indulge in her LARPing adventures);
    • He's a nerd and his own collections of gadgets and media are what introduced Chloe and Lexi to that world to begin with;
    • Attained fluency over time in Japanese, and talks exclusively in Japanese at home as means of keeping up with practice;
    • Anything not indicated is up to you.

    Blake was born and raised in Melbourne, and never bothered venturing out too much from the area in which he resided - his parents were friends with a couple whom owned a nearby bakery and he took on the trade as a little boy, having fell in love with it on sight. He didn't pursue a higher education, instead getting a certificate as a baker and working for said couple for a few years. At some point, near his workplace, an MMA tournament was held in which his eventual wife participated; she frequented his bakery at times, and was quite straightforward in her romantic approach towards the man. Despite his awkwardness things worked between the two and they eventually married.

    The newly wed couple came to the conclusion they could gather their savings and create their own businesses - they found Narragyambie to be the right place for it due to a combination of cheap land and a youthful clientele. Finally moving, Blake opened his bakery near the local clinic. His business, as well as his wife's, boomed and they became well established members of the local community, as well as very well off monetarily (not that they'd complain).

    They then started working on having a family. They ended up raising two daughters, Chloe and Lexi, roughly one year apart from each other. Both seemed to fall in line with his geeky interests, something he very much appreciated (his wife, not so much). He soon fell into the role of playing good cop to his wife's bad cop, as the woman was quite strict, unnecessarily so in his opinion. He found it quite ironic that she had complained about her own parents in the same way, while ending up instilling a similar kind of parenting herself; wanting his daughters to have the sense of relief that Aneko never had, he ultimately relied on his calm and friendly nature to keep the pair up and running.

    • His bakery recently had an influx of Wizarding bakers - Natasha Roberts, one of his main bakers, and Samantha Hammond, a trainee. Perhaps it could be that the man sees a possibly advantageous business opportunity in expanding his bakery towards the Wizarding clientele, even if his establishment is already fairly popular to begin with; maybe he should even employ more magical folks to help out with it, or promote one of his own.

    • Being very much a geek, he gets along with his daughters like bread and butter - the oldest is a gunpla fan (which is very much his fault), and the youngest a geek in every way. He should indulge them more and more in these hobbies, despite his wife's general disapproval.

    • Chloe, his oldest daughter, has always suffered from a distinct lack of social skills. While his wife tries to shove those types of interactions down her throat in a very much 'sink or swim' type of thing, perhaps he could be more delicate in the approach and actually manage to help the girl.

    • Lexi, his youngest daughter, has a bit of an attitude problem - described by his in-laws as a 'ruffian', the girl is often grounded and doesn't seem to have much of a filter, defies authority and marches to the beat of her own drum. It doesn't help that her sister often enables this behavior and covers for it, to the extent of talking to the parents over being more lenient on her quite frequently. How will Blake tackle this issue?

    • He's been trying to teach Lexi how to bake so to have a successor, and the girl has spectacularly failed in each and every attempt - it doesn't seem like she has much in the way of talent in that art. Will Blake give up or does he have a trick up his sleeve to make her understand how it all works?
