Ava Richards comes from a long line of pureblood supremacists, and took to the ideology like a fish to water. She didn't seem to be all too concerned about the opposition, believing herself superior to others. At some point after graduation from school, she married Terry while still in VMU.

It was a loveless marriage. She soon found herself in a very short lived affair with Seth McCarthy, after the woman's wife had passed away. Once pregnant, she quickly came to realize Seth would not be there for the child in any way; Terry ultimately agreed to raise the kid as his own, as Isolda was going to be a pureblood like they were. After settling on a sizable monthly fee, the couple swore secrecy as to their daughter's true parental lineage - it wasn't in their best interest for the world to know anyway as her half-sister was a Veela.

They raised Isolda quite strictly, having high expectations of her and manipulating her social life  and daily routine as they saw fit. Several years later, they had Meadow; it made them relent from the abusive patterns as they had a new child to take care of, and this one appeared to be quite frail and in need of care.

After college, Isolda broke free from the Richards' grip and was, subsequently, disowned. Meadow got the brunt of this betrayal as Terry's and Ava's paranoia increased - they couldn't have the girl head in the same direction her sister had gone. They've become overprotective of the girl up to the point her future career was spelled out for her, and whenever she displayed a talent for Healing magic (much like her older sister), she was consequently punished.

As of early 2019 she found himself involved in a legal battle for Meadow's guardianship against Isolda; not only that, but it seems that she's figured out who her true father is, having gained an unimaginable amount of leverage over the couple. What is she capable of so to keep her, even if against her will?

    • Has she found happiness in her arranged marriage? Or has she fallen back into old habits?
    • She, as well as her husband, is an active enemy of the Parsons family. Given how entrenched they are in the Ministry and that the Parsons couple are both rising stars within it, what steps will Ava take to get in their way? And how will she prevent the fact that Isolda is Evelyn's sister to come to light?
    • She's lost one daughter before; now, that same daughter is engaging her in a legal battle to 'steal' the second one. How is Ava's mindset heading to court?
    • She and Terry have recently given a few reprieves regarding their treatment of Meadow, such as allowing her to stay in school during breaks. Are they trying to win her over or has she successfully convinced them on her own?
