Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.

Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.

    [NOTE: This character was previously taken, but nothing was accomplished/decided. You get to have your fresh take on the character, but you may have to ask staff to alter the previous account's name to be able to make one for this character.]

    • PB is negotiable;
    • She is Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons' adopted daughter. By proxy, she's related to a rather extensive family tree, albeit in secret - her mother doesn't make that familial connection public for their safety;
    • Very close to her mother and on good terms with her father;
    • Friendly with most, if not all same-age cousins (especially Amber, out of her having been adopted into the family as well);
    • Oblivious to her parents' shady dealings;
    • Has a remarkable advantage in terms of sheer knowledge and magical prowess out of being personally tutored by her mother whenever she's able to;
    • Anything else is up to you.

    Born in a small, religious, Muggle-heavy town, Alyona had to deal with the unfortunate tragedy of her parents passing away very early on into her lifespan due to a car crash while she was being babysat by a local. Having no next of kin, the girl was taken in by the local orphanage, where she spent the vast majority of her childhood - or, at least, until things started going awry.

    As she grew up magic started manifesting in strange ways, most of which attributed to coincidences or accidents; but as she grew older, the populace started to realize these events only happened around her. They came to brand her a bad omen, and eventually a witch (how right they were), and at some point they turned against her and planned to chase the youth out of the small town; or worse. Luck was on her side as Evelyn McCarthy-Parsons had gone off track from a Ministry task on accident, consequence of her borderline comic lack of a direction sense, and due to relating to this girl's plight she decided to rescue her and eventually take her in as her own child.

    Roughly a year after being rescued by the half-Veela, it was finally time for her to go to Tallygarunga. She had the opportunity to study and grow in a place that encouraged her magic rather than stifle its use; with people that saw her as normal rather than something detested. At the same time, her foster parents raised her to act and behave like a proper lady (a far cry from what she was used to) while always displaying kindness and a listening ear, her mother moreso.

    • What does she want to do with her future? Does she realize her mother is trying to steer her in specific directions, or is she willfully blind to it all?

    • How close is she to her family in general? Does she crave their attention, or does she feel like an outsider?
