Welcome to Tallygarunga, an original roleplay set in the Harry Potter universe. Set in present-day Australia, tensions are high between the Ministry of Magic and the only Ministry-run wizarding school in the country. Become like the other snooty private schools? Not a chance.
Originally established in August 2006, Tallygarunga prides itself on an inclusive and active community. Once part of the Tally family, always part of the Tally family. Whether you're here for the first time, the thousandth time, or returning after a long time---welcome home.
The main drag of Narragyambie, starting some distance from the school some kilometres out of the town itself and going through the town to the Narragyambie-Melbourne highway. Home to the more popular shops of Narragyambie, and generally the most affordable.
The largest collection of brooms in Narragyambie, Zoom's stocks not only school-level brooms, but caters for the public and sporting societies as well. Prices start from your average, cheap mightmaybeflymaybe broom, to luxury expensive models.
Few beings in existence known wands better than a fairy, and the owner of this store is a cheeky one, but surely knows her wands and has been servicing the area ever since Tallygarunga first set up. She hires only staff who pass the tests she sets, of wand knowledge. She also loves sweets.
Located outside of town, the road to it turns off the main highway. With signs and advertisements that only advertise it as the 'Narrie Native Wildlife Park and Reserve' to Muggle eyes, the place holds a lot more to it than the non-magical eye can see. A tourist attraction, as well as a wildlife rescue shelter, it sees occasional tour groups and in the summers has it's evening 'ghost' tours as well. Managed by Mary Blair, well known for achievements in animal rescue and for building the reserve up with her late husband. Park areas fenced off from animal habitats are free for BBQs, picnics, and children to enjoy the play equipment. To enter the Reserve itself, one must book ahead and be accompanied by a Park Ranger or Volunteer Guide. (Wizards will receive the full tour, and get to see magical animals as well as native.)
