Atlas Karras and Esme Romanas were two people cut from the same cloth. Only Atlas was a wizard and Esme a Muggle. He had been in Spain only a few weeks with a friend but he saw her working at the restaurant and he had to meet her. Esme however was dancing with the Madrid ballet and this made it difficult for Atlas to get a hold of her, when he did though he spared no expense. Soon Esme was beyond in love with the older Greek gentleman. It was not unlike a twisted love story until Esme got pregnant and Atlas, fearful of commitment ran off for a few months. The preganacy ended her dancing career and Atlas happy with being the only breadwinner settled down with the dancer just outside of London. This happiness only lasted a few years before Atlas filed for Divorce, which in reality was better for Esem and her daughter.
Growing up was difficult and strange. Eudoxia’s father was absent for a good majority of her life but he was an ever looming figure in her life, checking up on her and her grades. It seemed like every two years she was being taken to meet another one of her father’s children, this was all weird and due to the fact Atlas insisted they grow up proper in England. That way he wouldn’t have to travel to Spain to see his baby girl or Israel to his son or America his other child. Regardless of how wonderful Atlas was to Doxia she feared him a great deal. He always seemed to growl and remain unpleasant, he refused to see her recitals, and Eudoxia grew to be as determined to make him pay attention as he was headstrong. This tactic worked sometimes but she figured her father had no time for pink satin and Swan Lake.
In School Eudoxia and her older brother bonded, they were the first two and they were like an elitist club when it came to the rest of his children. They also being the oldest tend to look out for the rest regardless of how they feel about them. Her older brother became rather protective in school and if Daddy dearest didn’t send the boy running older brother always did. The four Karras children were in general a force to be reckoned with, you simply did not mess with one, or you would have all of them after you. Though she was disappointed she could no longer continue her formal ballet training Eudoxia put her learned control to work and excelled in school. After school she took the boring job of an accountant with Ministry.
While in London she met Malcolm Estepp, he was a French Hedge fund manager and while she was not sure at first they ended up falling in what resembled love, though you would have to squint very hard to see it. After a year or so she and Malcolm were engaged however their relationship was starting to sour, he was out with other women and though she knew it she wouldn’t confront him, worried he might leave or that she was wrong and he would realize how untrusting she was.
Soon most of her friends and family wanted her to leave Malcolm. However leaving Malcolm was not a problem, she worried she wouldn’t be able to leave him because somewhere in her heart she loved him. Malcolm and her brother Lot went out to a bar and due to a bar fight Lot ended up killing someone. Malcolm and Lot disappeared. Eudoxia was beyond distraught over this, that was two men she cared about suddenly gone without any hope of contact. After smashing every dish in the home she had shared with Malcolm she snuck off to a bar in France rather than London and met Benito. Benito ended up being a man investing in the Karras shipping business and Eudoxia didn’t know it at the time but was married. Benito however was a good distraction. Finding she cared for him more than she had planned she felt like the rug was pulled from her when she found out he was married. Though he promised he and his wife were estranged and on the verge of divorce. Eudoxia however was unable to get past the guilt she felt and she eventually left him. (Realizing she was simply trying to find a replacement)
Shortly after this Eudoxia’s youngest brother, Petros lost his mother to cancer. For some reason in her will she left Eudoxia in charge of the teenager. This has become the constant battle in her life, Atlas doesn’t seem interested in being a father and Petros like the rest of them has a temper. Finding London to be a hard place to live after everything she happily took the transfer to OZ. It seemed like the right place to start over, not to mention it came with a slight promotion and pay raise. One of the many benefits of moving to Australia was meeting Jason Miller the head of the MLE, at first she thought he was kind of a jerk but they started to get to know one another and before too long she had fallen in love with him. After a year of dating he proposed and in a small ceremony on the fifth of June they were married in Greece.
Eudoxia is one of those people who need constant stimulation, or something to do to keep her out of trouble. She may have been turned down for the Madrid Ballet but that does not mean she has completely given up dance. During the summer’s with her mother she would help teach not only ballet but some of the ballroom classes, having gotten used to OZ and her new job Eudoxia found that she was rather bored and had the time to revisit her first love, in London she would occasionally dance in one of the community productions, and using those contacts in London she had found a small studio in Oz that teaches Classical Ballet and point. Though she was not quite the right fit for a large company she can make herself a ‘fit’ for a smaller community company. The studio offered her a Saturday morning ballet class with the younger beginners so she could get some studio time and start with the help of chorography and production of not only the yearly recitals but the various Ballets the studio puts on with the help of a few Artist Dancers from the Melbourne Ballet Company.
After a year or so she married Jason Miller. They were happy- they had a kid and they continued to live in Melbourne and after some security issues at the Ministry she left after many conversations with her husband. The Millers attempted to expand their family again but they were not successful and lost the child. Then once more they attempted and welcomed their second child in November 2017. She has since become the creative director of a small dance studio.
